Music - Changing the lyrics to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Students were not happy with the song choice of 'Three Blind mice for our end of year performance, but enjoyed it when I changed the lyrics on songs. So, I challenged them to change the lyrics on a song. They chose Twinkle Twinkle Little Star because it was easy and went about changing the lyrics with a more animal base to it. I never instructed them to write about animals, but as most of what we are doing lately is animal based it was elementary.

Simple simple big large sun,

Someone go to sun and run.

When he came back he was dry,

Then he can fly up in the sky.

Money money in the house,

Please don't give me lot of mouse.

Then the mouse ran to the tree,

and then there are lot of bees.
